OLD Mother Hubbard...
As you know I have been waiting for my kitchen walls to get finished so I can jazz up the area with the Sara touch. The above photo is of the north and west wall, the big reveal will come later in the week. I love the color that I went with even though my DH did not like it much as it was going up. He came home yesterday and said it was growing on him.
Well along with the walls we moved the buffet and so everything had to come out and be washed before I would let it go back so here is what I have in my cupboards...
The above photo is of a boy and girl saying bedtime prayers. They are very special to me as the were from my Grandpa Tieszen's house. Every Sunday we would drive over and for a visit and they were sitting in the little niche in the living room. My Grandpa showed great faith throughout his live and was a very kind and loving Grandpa. Yes, he is the one who had the "Circus Peanuts" for us.
The above photo is of a ceramic Easter Bunny. This Bunny holds some good and not so good memories for me. It was the last gift I gave to my Mother before she passed away. She so wanted to be let out of the hospital for Sunrise Service but the DR. would not allow it. So every year reminded of the fact that my Mother could not attend Easter Services I make sure I am sitting in Church on Easter Sunday.
This photo is of my Mother's punch bowl. She used this in so many wonderful memories
I have. Graduation Day being the most special to me.
Here is what she would have in her punch bowl...
Wedding Punch
2 PKGS Kool-Aid (Cherry or Raspberry)
2 C. sugar
2 Qts. Water
1 46oz can pineapple juice
1 QT. ginger ale
makes 50 servings
This photo is of my Christmas place setting it is called "Woodland Santa". I purchased this while I was a Visual Specialist for Kohl's Department Store. When setting up the display for this set I knew it was the one I wanted. Now over 7 years later it fills up space in my cupboard.
Hope you enjoyed your visit inside my cupboard and glimpse into my life.
Happy stamp day!
Sara

Aww just to savor all the memories is worth it sara. I often pull out my mother's stuff to remind me how much she did for me and how much I loved her and how much I miss her. I am sure you are the same way.
I would love to have a buffet to put "stuff" like that in. I'd love to have the room to but a buffet in first!!! LOL
I always make that same punch recipe too!
