Happy Birthday Dad

Edit to place winter weekend blizzard pics...
Have a Great Day!

view out our front door looking at county road (aka North Street East) at times the mail box was not in sight and you can't see the apartment complex across the street at all for most of the day.

View to the west out kitchen window there is an open field here you can almost make out a tree in the background can't see the neighbors house for most of the day.

Bear settled in for a long winters nap, LOL! He loves to romp in the snow when the wind calmed down he was outside playing had to rest up for the event. LOL, such a sweet boy!

There was a fire call this day to an injury accident the Monroe fire department could not get out of town. Marion led the way with the city plow and were able to make it to the scene. I was crying totally thought that was the last time I would see my DH the situation was so very dangerous yet he put himself out there to help another. Can't get much braver then that, love you Honey!

We are keeping warm, enjoying the new furnace that is certain!

Hugs everyone!

Punched Circle Glitter Background Tutorial

I have been working with my piles of scraps and I have came up with this glittery goodness, hope you enjoy it as much as I have. The first creation was made for Inspired Crafters

Here is the layout to make a Christmas card...

My card, so sorry for the pic but with the colored glitter it was hard to get a clear pic.
Products used...
multiple sizes of circle punches ek success
card stock scraps SU and PTI
Ink and ribbon PTI
SU scallop circle punch and word window
PTI stamp sets Merry and bright, Merry and Bright Additions
Glitter
Adhesive spray

Here are some for Valentines using Target Dollar spot DP and PTI Sweet Love stamp set...

This one I used Bella Rose DP scraps and PTI Wishing You for the sentiment...

So wanna know how I did this?
1) Cut card stock to 3 3/4" by 4 1/2" (size I used for challenge card)
2) Punch various size circles from scraps of card stock or dp
3) Spray your piece of card stock with spray adhesive
4) Arrange the punched circles on the card stock (leave room between circles don't have them overlap)
5) Apply fine glitter
6) Shake off excess glitter
7) Layer your glittery goodness onto your card

Some variations
You can stamp on the card stock circles (for my challenge card I left them blank). Make various sizes for example on the bella rose card I only did the top portion.
Use card stock close to the color of glitter you are going to use.

Just a reminder to friends and family we no longer have a hooked up home so please email me at paschal.sara@gmail.com and give me a few days to check on it. If it is important please email DP3069@k12.sd.us and in the heading mark "for Mom" and our oldest can check at school during the week. Thank you;)

Grunge Flower Notebook

A couple weeks back I found this video over on Paper Phenomenon I have a ton of scraps I have been organizing and trying to use up, this day I was playing around with one of my all time faves Bella Rose from SU. I made up four of these using the video directions and placed one of them on a notebook. Now this one if I was selling would be a true $8.00 notebook, LOL! I love these very simple and elegant.

PTI Swap Card/Corner Bookmark

I was almost stumped by this round of swapping, I so love to do things with each swap card that is new and creative. This round I came up with a corner bookmark, it is so easy for our DD little J to pull out my bookmarks it makes them almost useless to me this style took her a bit longer to figure out, LOL! And yes, I am a wishful thinking a tad by using PTI's Wishing you set I wish it were tulips covering the ground

My .cut files are distributed free of charge however, since I made this card for this round of PTI swapping to obtain this file I am requiring a few things first, please do the following... Become a follower of my blog, become a follower of Inspired Paper Crafters then come back to this post leave a comment with your contact email and I will send you the file.

Tutorial for Corner Bookmark Card

Cut all pieces using the Cricut .cut file I have created.
Score the tabs of the card front.
Tape the scored tabs on the card front.
Fold the tabs in and adhere the top triangle of the corner bookmark card front.
Place embellishment ribbon on the front layer piece and adhere to the corner bookmark card front.
Finish creating your corner bookmark card front.
Next create the pull out card portion.
Insert the pull out card into the corner bookmark.
Give as a little gifty card make sure you explain how to use the outer portion to the recipient.

I also thought this would be amazing as a Save the Date Corner bookmark card used as a Birthday hat. The inner portion would contain the save the date and the outer portion becomes a child's corner bookmark.

Tick Tock a New WALL Clock Tutorial

If you receive the Cricut Chirp in your email inbox this week you would have seen one heck of a wonderful creation in the spotlight from Dawn. I had started my vinyl wall art a few weeks ago and though this would be the perfect way to finish it off so I came up with a simple clock to match the curvy clock she used found on a cricut cartridge that My Sister nor I have( Stretch Your Imagination). So by using some triangles, boxes and J's I created my clock version (you can download the .cut file here). You can also read up on how I did the part of the bird and branch in my post here.

How to make...
Use the .cut file I have provided for your birdhouse.
Apply the birdhouse to your wall.
Cut your clock numbers using Designers Calender (on the download you will find the correct size numbers for the size of the birdhouse).
Apply your clock numbers to the birdhouse.
I placed my clock works onto some combined die cuts from Marvy Scallop Circle Punch (5 of them out of poster board, glued togeather).
Punch one last time out of the same vinyl you used for your clock and apply to the top of your stack.
Attach clock works to your layered stack of die cuts.
Apply Velcro to the back of your clock works.
Set the time and attach the clockworks to your birdhouse.

It has been a rough start to the New Year the girls have missed three consecutive days of school on account of the latest winter storm that means DH has had his work hours cut also. I am working with our DD's friend and Our DD on some blog posts if this works out I can continue to make some infrequent postings for you. Thanks for hanging in with me;)
