Friendship Bookmark Card

It is Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the Christmas Season, or so it used to be.
I can't wait for the numbers to come in and see what happened with stores being open on Thanksgiving.
I am however happy to be out of the box store retail business this time of year.
 It is just a madhouse and totally
had me ruined on Christmas for along time.
Happy to report Scrooge has left the building and my Christmas Spirit has returned;)

So my creation today is a card with bookmark.
 The Blog
 held my inspiration project.
You can see the card HERE.

All products used are PaperTrey Ink EXCEPT for SU scallop circle punch.

OWH Sketch challenge #188 VCMP

This weeks sketch challenge from
is part of the VCMP weekend.

Here is my creation.
 I am going to go back and make more of this sketch the sentiment I used is
 not right for an OWH creation.
I don't think so anyway;)
It is one of my favorite quotes though.

I used a Basic Grey paper pack that is older than dirt it is
Urban Prairie.

OWH VCMP Challenge #5

(all the challenges can be found in the above link)
 It is Labor Day Weekend here in the US and that brings out tons of festivities.
I am playing along with the challenges in the OWH VCMP.
Want to join in?  Please check out the above links.
Operation Write Home helps our Heroes keep in touch with loved ones around the world.
The cards and postage are free for our Military Heroes.
If you don't make card creations you can also support OWH by donating cash to help cover postage.
All the links and information you need are included in the above links.

Please don't faint as you view this post.
Yes, I have actually inked up and actual wood mounted stamp from SU.
Geesh!  It has been eons.   I have been living in the digi world for awhile now;)

Here is challenge 5 from
Use a masking tape block stamping technique.
I have used just my acrylic block before, however never thought to place a random texture on it.  DUH, me!  (insert palm slap to forehead)

 Here is my creation...

OWH VCMP Challenge #2

Please scroll down this weekend to see all of the project creations and information for
Operation Write Home.
 Create a card with elements that represent each letter of Operation Write Home!

O = OLD
as in an Old paper set from Basic Grey called  "konnichiwa"

W= White
I use white card bases for OWH card creations so our Heroes
have enough room to write a nice letter back home.
 This way the entire inside and back of card is free for writing.
Since it is difficult for our Heroes at times to find anything other than a pencil
to use the white card base makes reading easier.

H = Hello
as in the stamp sentiment I used from Papertreyink.com
