Holly Jolly in July

Indeed, I have started working on Christmas cards.
My stash is so depleted I really need to get moving.

It is hard to see but his card is actually a Hybrid, the store
only had the paper and no embellishments, I downloaded
just the element pack and printed them off.
Oh, how I love me some ink!  No matter
what form it comes in;)
Another great thing about the digi element pack I can swap
colors, change the size and a WHOLE lot MORE!
I geed dizzy just thinking of the possibilities.

I love the design on this one with the triangles of DP.

Card Stock  and ribbon is PaperTrey Ink.
Echo Park Holly Jolly paper pad with printable embellishment.

Happy Stamp Day, God Bless.

I'm Blue

Actually tickled pink:)
Because I had help on this creation from Jessica
She actually created the border for me in Photoshop.
Yes, you heard me correctly, she learned how to manipulate
brushes this week.
I kept her close after getting out of the hospital last Tuesday so we
spent lots of time in the studio.
Her little mind just absorbs everything and it is very important
to keep this girl busy!
Anywho, want the crayon look with a PS Brush
here is what to do;
Pick up your Heavy Smear Wax Crayon found in your
dry media brushes, select color and get creating.

The sketch used is an OWH sketch
you can find it here

The stamp set used is the July subscription set from

All colors are SU some may be retired.
I know, I have not purchased from
them is so long I don't even know what is current.
 Shame on Me!

Shellibrate!

Cleaning up the studio today so I can get started on August projects.
I picked up this little guy I had laying around, he is a
submission throwback.
That is okay cause I love him and my Nephew is sure to as well.

I have a big GRIPE to tell you about today.
This pennant maker from Epiphany Crafts is not such a good thing.
I bought it thinking how wonderful it would be.
NOT!
They need to work on an adhesive formula that sticks!
I went to photograph the items and I had epoxy stickers everywhere
except where they should be.
 What really ground my gears
is when by fluke a sticker stuck well
to a project it did not belong on.
 Gasp!

So that is my heads up for you today,
great concept poor
execution.
Thumbs down for this product until a new formula of adhesive is released.
Tombow Mono Multi Saved the day!

On a lighter note I am so very pleased with my subscription
to the stamps of life.
Another cute stamp set arrived this week, I have inked it up and
will show you a glimpse soon.
Head over to The Stamps of Life see what is new.

Eureka Stamps/Project Life

Marion Softball 2012
Product Life Page

Jessica's first season of softball has come to an end.
It was a winless season.  However, all of the kids and onlookers had
a wonderful time, you could not stifle the smiles or spirit;)
When there was a hitting concern you would hear
a cheer bust out of the dugout!
Seriously, you can't beat the sportsmanship of these kiddos!
That is what I tried to portray on this PL page and Eureka Stamps
had just the digital stamps I needed.

I will show you each section close up below and list anything special about each one...
Above is Jessica wearing a HUGE smile the sentiment is in Lobster TTF
The game lasted as long as it took the lineup to bat twice, so this quote is perfect!
"We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time."  Vince Lombardi

Above photo Jessica is up to bat.
She had an awesome season with her hits!
Again Lobster TTF

Above I used Eureka Stamps digi
So cute, these images really make the page, don't ya think!
Seriously, I dislike my handwriting!  However, I
know the girls will love it when I am long gone.

Above I used these digi stamps from Eureka Stamps
Whoa!  Lots of good stuff used on this portion.
My favorite is the
"tis the season" sentiment alteration.
In PSE I used the eraser to remove the balloon portion of the baseball and fill
in the dip were it resided.  Ending up with a baseball image I could resize to the places I wanted
it to go on the page.
In this case it replaces the "o" in season also can be found on the softball girl.
I than used a baseball bat brush and replaced the exclamation point.
I have just turned a Christmas themed sentiment into a double duty threat.  I know!

Above I used the
Notice the pink glove and M monogram, so adorable!
And above I used the
I colored the "fence like" card with Copics to match.

I am so very happy with the way this page turned out.

Incase you missed it here is the link to the card I made Jessica for the end of the season.

Nothing Special, Giggle;)

So today's card is brought to you by
(somewhat cute, somewhat quirky)

When I first spied this sentiment an image of generic labels from
the 70's jumped into my head.

I ran with that except for the barcode I updated it to a Working QR code...

The QR code actually does work.
Any guesses on what it says?
Better yet,
break out your smart phones peeps
and scan away;)

Okay, this card is
Downright NERDY
and
dripping with
Awesomesauce.

Have a Sunshine Day!

I had a big announcement a few weeks ago on my Facebook page,
I was asked to join the design  teams for:
&

Awesomesauce!

So with today being July 1st I have officially started, let the fun begin;)

Today's card is brought to you by Eureka Stamps...

I used this digital stamp

If you are new to digital stamps I am
going to share a fast trick for you.
How I quickly erase the white and replaced some
spots in the alpha with yellow.

  1. Click in on your magic eraser tool
  2. click in on the white space of the image (it will go away leaving the transparent background)
  3. click in on your paint bucket and select your color
  4. click in on your image where you wish to replace color.

That easy, you can do it;)

paschal.sara@gmail.com
