has sponsored the above image"Jingle Bells" this month
So fun to create with!
I used a name badge from Office Max to Alter.
I love to tuck these lovelies inside
my holiday cards for a sweet little treat.
The image was digitally colored in photoshop, printed and punched out. Next it was layered on a piece of colored card stock and stuck to the front of the badge with dimensional foam.
Here is another graduation project I have worked on.
I was using maps and included some of my favorite poems and quotes that would fit the theme.
They are printed off on printer paper and rolled as a Diploma.
(used PTI stamp set instruction sheet as my guide)
The plan is to roll up bills inside each of the little packages.
below is a free download for you ...

It has been a long time since I have altered a comp book. For a benefit auction on Sunday I have completed a few prayer journal sets. Here is one of them.
Looking at the photo showed me I need to go back and add some text style to the craft edge.
After about 9 years I do believe our kitchen is just about finished. Yes!
Been working on the pantry and our open cupboard. DH insists on clogging this space up with mayhem and madness. I could not take it any longer and this is what I came up with. All the glass I have been saving has now been reclaimed for pantry jars. These jars now call the open cupboard home.
Uniform, colorful, interesting = happiness;)
All the jars are of varying sizes by spraying the lids red and wrapping DP around them they became unified. I first wanted the labels on the front however, I ended up liking the tops labeled.
I think they look awesome and we are all very happy now with the open cupboard.
I will get complete pics up for you in the next few days.
I was waiting for night because there are so many shadows in this room during the day for picture snapping however, I am not sure that even helped to wait. So sorry for a BLAH pic, looks so grand IRL.
I printed off the subway art in 5 by 7 so they would fit in the frames I had. My DH calls me the woodpecker because I am always putting holes in the walls. Not today baby, I am using what I have;)
A few pine boughs and cones from outside and suddenly the wall is festive for CHRISTmas.
I was in need of some quick ornaments, the CHRISTmas program for church snuck up on me. I am so disappointed that the Church caved and switched the program from CHRISTmad eve because people are busy. Too busy to celebrate CHRIST this season in the church, so disturbing for me!!!!
Thanks for listening to my little rant moving on now to show you the ornament.
I printed off the subway art 9 to a page (wallet size setting for my printer). I just had to trim them up a bit to fit inside. Inside what? A Name Badge holder! A touch of PTI Pure Poppy ribbon and I was set. I also made it reversible.
Okay, for this one I found a nativity silhouette online and printed it off so it would fit a...Button. I have had them for ever in my stash I thought it would work wonderfully and it did;)
Product list...
Name badges
Buttons
Ribbon
computer
printer
digital files

My SIL loves the smell of Gain and wishes her entire house cold smell like it.
Well guess what kiddo here you go...
Fake Febreeze
Reclaim your income and the landfills!!!!
1/8 C of your favorite scented fabric softener
1 TSP Baking soda
Reclaimed Febreeze Bottle
Warm tap water to fill up the rest of the room in the bottle.
I used some chalkboard paint on my old Hawaiian scented Febreeze bottle and some chalk.
I also placed my Baking soda in a glass jar, reclaiming both the glass and the pour spout lid from an old salt container. So much easier that that dang box and it will stay dry and not soak up odors.
***I have found this very slippery on vinyl flooring so be careful where you are spraying***
My Husband will be taking these to school for his Kiddos. My girls love them I have to tuck them away before a few go MIA. They have also asked for a few for friends, by the time I am done there will be around 50 candy cane reindeer, YUMMY!
There was one broken one that said eat me I will claim that loss;)
Tutorial:
Cut your brown paper

Attach canes to each other with red liner tape
Run one line of liner tape on back, long side
Wrap card stock around canes and press the tape firmly

A quick easy tutorial:
Fill cleaned Steel can with water.
Place in freezer or outside if you live in the right climate.
Take a nail, hammer and template and start punching your outline.
(I used a star cookie cutter for our template and taped it to the can)
You can find more elaborate designs on the web however, I was shooting for easy.
Spray paint and let dry.
Attach wire to one side of can, bead around to the opposite side and attach creating your handle.
I am using battery operated tea lights you can also use regular tea lights just have to keep an eye on them.
Here is a view of the Popsicle memory game fronts...
Here is a look at the flip side

Cooper
and Penguin friends
I made it this way so they have lots of options when playing the game with him.
All the pieces fit nicely into a salvaged Mayo container.
I used wooden spoons to hopefully make it easier to turn the pieces remember he is 2.
And the book I printed off and created for him. It is so darn cute, I continue to amaze myself at times.
This gift took me literally days to create. A little here and there and lots of love and prayers. Lots of prayers for patience. I need to count how many google eyes I used they were about to drive me CRAZY.
That is another reason I love creating my own gifts instead of going out into the crazy world of retail and pick out a meaningless toy that in two days will probably be lost or broken and not remembered.
It is giving from the heart that makes this season beautifully special for me.
I love these altered Oatmeal canisters used for hair goodies.
I made one for Jessica now everyone is begging for one. I can't eat that much Oatmeal peeps;)
Below is a CHRISTmas gift for my niece who loves pink and purple.
I also altered a few barrettes and some headbands.
Now for the inside goodies I recycled a cardboard tube to hold the hair bands and a magnetic paper clip holder for those DARN bobby pins that are so in love with my vacuum!!!!
I cut a felt circle for the bottom of the tube so the inside can be used for storage of more bands.
So one gift down and many more to go.
She is going to adore this, can't wait to gift it.
These ideas can be found on my pinterest boards, I have been a busy on pinterest as of late;) I need to stop getting distracted and get back on the crafty MAKING track.
If you live in my area and have Oatmeal Canisters please if you would save them for me. Thank you;)
You can always take the link to my pinterest board it is found under my header.
Since it is really difficult to sit in my design room I have not been able to create for blog posts:( however to build up some strength in my knee I have been in the kitchen more than usual. Hence the post for today done with help from little j.
This can be found in my tips and tricks board about fabric sheets.
1. Cut up a kitchen towel on the fold lines giving us six sheets.
2. Poured 1/8 cup Downy over the towels.
3. Let them soak in sealed container.
4. Ring them out and let them dry.
5. Throw dried cloth in with load.
6. It is stated that each sheet will last 40 loads.
Helping to save some on the monthly budget and help green up the planet with less plastic and dryer sheets.
