Caution this is Steamy!

Steampunk is quickly migrating into the  paper craft community.
Numerous companies have jumped onto the Steampunk band wagon but have suffered low sell through.
At this time you can find many goodies in steampunk style on sale.
Below you will absorb my creation and some  favorite Sub-Genre Clicks.

A wonderful Manly card to ad to my lackluster stash.
My very first Steampunk card creation...

For my creation I distressed the print with Tim Holtz Old Paper distress ink.
Next I layered it and tied some twine all from Papertreyink.com
I stamped the sentiment from Everyday button bits.
Punched it out using the word window punch from Stampin' Up

Here come the clicks go grab a coffee, Mtn Dew or caffeinated beverage of your choice and enjoy.

Off Road Mayhem part 2 December 17th
So hard to pick one fave for December I have been hard at it making Christmas gifts for my family but in the end the project I worked on for my Nephew took the top spot. I think based on the fact that I had a great time spraying the shirt is why it won and the second that I used what normally would have been trash (the liner tape for the vinyl) and figured out a way to use it.

November 9th I worked on my blog skin for the holiday using a download I purchased from Faith Sisters Store. This has been my favorite blog look of all time I had a wonderful year with Faith Sisters they have such a beautiful site and many free downloads.

October came and introduced me to digital stamps the one on this card was from MFT. I am not a big color girl on cards I was happy when I was able to PAINT this image and then print it out.

Got Chipboard?

Thanks to my Sister and her amazing garage sale finds I have two buckets full! L and I got to sorting them out on Friday and they are so very cute and charming now they are much easier to work with after being grouped by category. So I challenged myself on WCMD to use chipboard on most of my creations here are two bday cards (chipboard is one embellishment I don't normally use). I also turned first to my scrap piles on WCMD and tried to use them as much as possible.

My card above uses a large chipboard bday cake and I used PTI's everyday button bits for the balloons.

The only stamping on the above card is Happy Birthday from PTI.

Polka Dot Paradise Challenge

I am still a bit weak and shaky this AM but I think the worst of this stinking bug has passed, now for the rest of the Family to start feeling better. I did however make time to complete this challenge card I started on Friday (pathetic, takes me three days to complete one card) and I used a SU set for the main image. I know a big stunner there this is one of my fave all time sets and it works very well with a fall color boquet.

Gotta love the I Embellish web site, I so can't wait for the first online magazine to publish. The Polka Dot Paradise Challenge can be found {HERE}.

Swapping out the Welcome Mat...Lifelight Weekend

I have been playing around with my second card for this round of PTI swapping for a few weeks now. I wanted to use the PTI Everyday button Bits set (just love the little bird) that comes in the set. I also loved the birdhouse card on page 164 of the new SU catty so I created a .cut file for the cricut (Download .cut file here). Finally it all has come together and I have completed six of these little Tweets, Little J almost caused scrambled eggs (she loves them also and her little hands were all over my projects) LOL, AACK!

There is a ton of dimension and little things that just make this card so adorable. When I figured out the welcome mat for the sentiment I could not have been more proud of myself. I cut the oval with Cricut George after I elongated it a bit in DS program, it turned out to fit the sentiment from PTI's Everyday Classics perfectly on the first try (that does not happen often around here).

Enjoy the Ride

Yes, I have a camera and I am still trying to figure everything out my pics and posts can only get better from here;)

This little Beauty scored a first place finish at the fair last week for the stamping stationary category, under comments they enjoyed the color combination and the organization. I used my PTI SS Reveal gift as a template however, I decided to leave off the handles and make it a bit more on the masculine side. You can find the template {here} For a more finished look of the clear boxes make sure you cut card stock to cover the inside of box otherwise when the cards and pad are removed your adhesive shows through the box. I also used a Velcro circle to adhere the flap to the back side of my tote.
