Cast all your Cares...

Here is another project that my Sister and I worked on this past Saturday. She made up some tins to give to her friends at work and I have two of them going to the benefit on the 13th. Here is the the worry tin tutorial post link.

Below is our middle DD with her pox, notice the little buggers around and on her right eyelid, these are giving her the most problem. And yes, our youngest came down with them on Tuesday. She only has one spot on her forehead and seven on her little butt. They don't seem to bother her and she never had the high fever or complained of aches anywhere so that is some good news.

What is a Mom to do with a house of girls and the Chicken Pox, other than make use of my Worry tin? How about Grandpa's recipe for Homemade ice cream, that should make everyone feel better! Plus it was a good use for all of the snow that fell here again on Monday, a twofer can't beat that!

Here is Dad's Recipe...
2 cans evaporated milk
3 eggs
1/2 C. sugar
1 t. vanilla
Pinch of Salt
Mix in a blender, pour into the ice cream freezer.
Combine ice (SNOW) and salt then start the freezer churning 30 to 45 minutes.
I like to put the ice cream in the freezer for about 30 minutes after so it becomes a little stiffer, however sometimes we just can't wait any longer, lOL!

Supplies for Worry Tin...
Hinge top tin
SU pretty in pink card stock and GG ribbon
SU Basic Black
PTI Everyday Blessings Stamp Set
Scallop Nestabilities Die Cut
Rhinestones
Golf Pencil

Happy Stamp Day!

Well, now with the baby getting the pox you'll be all done with it. Too bad it had to happen but at least you can see an end to it. Your poor daughter with the pox on the eyelids. OUCH! Your tin is wonderful! And the ice cream sounds like a good cure-all!

Hang in there Sara!
