As promised here is my PHAT card from yesterday's flat card, isn't it looking Stinkin' Cute?
Here is what I did to make it go from flat to Phat...
Layered the skunk with dimensional dots, sponged around the white card stock with purely Pomegranate Ink. Next I put a flower in her hand using the Pretties Kit from Stampin' Up. I also placed some white organdy ribbon on the strip of black behind the skunk. There was some hole punching done with the 1/8" hole punch around the Pomegranate card stock, I like this effect especially on the scallop circle. The scallop circle has been placed on with a dimensional dot and extra color layers were added. Last I places three square black brads toward the bottom left of the card.

CC164 from Flat to PHAT...
CC164 is the color challenge over on SCS today. (Basic Black, Soft Sky and Purely Pomegranate. The photo below is of my first attempt, I felt it fell very flat...
So I tried again after taking some lessons from Markie's Mom Blog and Gallery...
For my second attempt I used layers in the skunk and the scallop circle. I also used my white paint pen to place the dots around the card Markie's Mom style. I love the look this gives to projects, just love it and it so draws me to her creations. The Skunk also has stickles on her white fur and the flower is from the pretties kit. I deconstructed the first card now the pieces are drying come back tomorrow to see what it looks like now....

TLC166, two way fold...
The Challenge listed for today on SCS is a two way fold card using a 12" by 12" piece of patterned DP. Here is the challenge link TLC166
I would use this card as is and present it to a lucky person as the gift, I am going to go back and include a space to hold a gift card for this reason. At first thought it was YIKES, this sure uses a ton of beautiful paper for one card. I snipped out a few pieces here and there after the folds were made and I was able to save 1/4 of the DP sheet for another project.
Products used...
SU Close to Cocoa Prints DP
SU Celery Card Stock and Ink
SU Close to Cocoa Ink and Card Stock
SU Pretties Kit
SU Organdy Ribbon
SU Friendship Blooms stamp set
Have you challenged yourself today?

Thank You Faith...
Our DD saw me looking at this card by Markies Mom this past week on splitcoast, you should have seen the joy in her face when she looked at it she was so thrilled by this card and the image. Faith was gracious enough to send this card to our DD, and it is now framed and hanging where she sleeps.
Thank you Faith for bringing joy to our little one!

File it and Rub-on...
Link to storm video from Friday, I have posted it on youtube blogger just does not like video uploads from me I have yet to get it to work. For most of the afternoon I could not see the apartment building across the street by night fall there was once again a snow drift in our front yard. The hardest part of the day was waiting for the school bus to arrive safely and for DH to get home from work, everyone is fine slow moving was the trick 30 mph or less.
To measure a snowfall out here on the plains you need to average the levels in about 10 different spots on your property. (Espically our property with so many open areas around us the wind tends to drift the snow around our home.) Here is the average for our yard about 9 1/2 inches, for such a late April storm this is uncommon however, it has been known to snow around here in May. When my Dad was young he remembered one 4th of July with snow, amazing.
This is a total CASE, I found it here Nana's Ink to Paper, such a fun way to jazz up an expandable file. This is the home to some of my WRAK images and a great way to keep them organized.
Products used...
SAB rub-ons
Flower Fusion

The winner for my blog hop Scrapbook title translation is Bonnie. Be watching for a fun PTI package.

Voting and blog list
Welcome to Sara's Studio and the PaperTrey INK blog hop, enjoy your visit.
I took up the PaperTrey INK challenge to use the download pieces of "Father Knows Best" to create a new banner for my blog then I used the download to make this digital scrapbook layout for you. This layout works so lovely with any special Pattern Paper you choose to use, the new Pattern Paper that PTI has come up with is just YUMMY! I can't wait to get my hands on the "Pink Patterns" and get some pages done up of the girls using this layout.
Here is my finished digi page using my pieces layout and the Father Knows best download file from PaperTrey INK...
For my title I thought it would be fun to use text messaging code, can you figure out how my title reads? Leave a comment on this post before midnight CST with the answer and I will randomly draw a winner and send a PaperTrey RAK your way. Need help, here is a link for you Lingo 2 Word. I visit this site often, our oldest DD loves to talk in Text Lingo and so do her friends so sometimes to understand what they are saying I have to look it up. I also wanted to create a card using the pieces however, I just did not like the way the file printed out the colors are not even close to the colors that show on the PTI website but here it is for your inspiration and viewing pleasure...
Want a chance to win another RAK from Sara's Studio? Create a card or Scrapbook layout using one of the above sketches, post a link to your creation in this blog post by Sunday April 27 11:00 PM CST and I will randomly draw a winner for one more PTI RAK on Monday AM April 28th. Hop, skip and CASE...
I am so happy to be blessed enough to be chosen for one of the twenty five participants in the April Blog Hop for PaperTrey INK to take place on the evening of April 25th. We were issued a challenge and that was to use a download sneak peak of paper pieces from the Father Knows Best paper pack that made its debut at PaperTrey on April 15th.
Okay, to participate in the Blog Hop if you are not a registered member of the PaperTrey INK forum you will need to take this link to the website, get signed up, be inspired and have a chance to win one of their amazing stamp sets. While there you vote for your favorite blog challenge project and the top three bloggers will also get a free stamp set. How fun is that?!
So I will be back after 4:00 PM CST Friday to post my project for the blog hop challenge.
For now I leave you with an inspiring bracelet CASED from Wanda at MY Creative Corner and her Wizard of OZ "Build a Brad Bracelet". She has easy to follow directions on how to create this wonderful project posted on her blog. Wanda is an amazing talent she inspires me daily to become a better paper crafter and blogger. I do have the OZ version ready to link for my Niece but I am missing the "Ruby" bling, I won't finish it 'til I get all the supplies needed to make it right ( after all it would not be a true Wizard of OZ bracelet if it has no rubies now would it).
This bracelet is light weight and easy to wear it does not have any sharp edges to irritate the skin.

Pretty Baby...
Made this card for the SCS color challenge CC163 (pretty in pink, celery and chocolate chip) I substituted Close to Cocoa. Such a pretty color combo and I have used it a bunch lately. This card will be going to our Neighbors Son who is expecting a little girl any day now.
For this card I took the Negative of the Nestabilities scallop rectangle rounded the corners and turned it into a frame. For a shadow box effect I stamped the sentiment on acetate and mounted it to the back of the frame. Next I used pop dots for dimension. The bottom layer is glued directly to the Close to Cocoa card stock.

Here you see our little DD hard at work crafting, she loves to draw and color. She found a "LITTLE" Pony Bead in our other DD's backpack on Sunday AM and preceded to stick it up her nose. (Anything she won't do?) I thought it was a button and tried to get it out with a tweezers but in the end I was just making it worse, does that not make a Mom feel horrible. A short trip to the ER, two x-rays later they had removed the bead and found no other objects crammed in the ears, nose or mouth. Sometimes it is just the little things that make a difference.
Want to take my challenge you can find it here Card Clutch Challenge.

Garden Collage Sketch WSC44
Beate Weekend Sketch WSC44
Still had supplies out from Friday so for the challenge I made up some cards that matched the Card Clutches below. Very quick sketch and I love to color block on cards and scrapbooking so I found this very easy and in no time had the Clutches full and ready to give.
I taught my Sister how to make these when she was over last in just a few minutes we each had three card Clutches, the directions are very easy to follow and well written you can find the tutorial at this link...
Impressions.
I challenged a friend of mine to make one of these Card Clutches and I put the challenge out to you as well. In the comments for this post leave a link to your creation, I will draw a random winner from those who participate to receive some crafty goodies. (Please leave a comment by April 26th to be entered in the drawing.)

Weathered Garden Collage...
My Sister was over to stamp Friday away with me, we have such fun when we get together. Can you believe she was so low on cards a few weeks ago she had to purchase a few, GULP! I think she is the luckiest person around she found a garage sale with SU sets cheap, she brought over a few to use. I fell for this set immediately, Weathered Garden by Stampin' Up, so beautiful. I can't wait to see the SCS gallery and the goodies it holds for this set.

Acrylic WT162 challenge
The Thursday ways to use it challenge on SCS WT162 was to use Acrylic on your creation. I used the Acrylic stamp set from PaperTrey Inc called Women of Life and Acrylic 1" Page Pebbles. I love to use this layout because the Page Pebbles look so grand displayed this way.
Here is a link to a previous swap card PTI round 3 that I have made using the same layout.
Round 6 PTI swap has started over on SCS please take this link to get signed up. If you are not a SCS member please email me and I can send you the details.
My Sister is coming over to stamp today, I am so excited! I have a couple projects lined up and my stamp space cleaned and organized and can't wait to get started. Today also happens to be the 14th year of our Mother's passing, she is so profoundly missed to this day. However, her life on earth was difficult at best and her earthly body could not take anymore strain or stress. Now as her grave marker states, "As the bird free of its cage seeks the heights so the christian soul in death flies home to God". My Sister gave her some music to listen to in the hospital and this became Her favorite song that gave her comfort in the end, "Spirit Wings", this link will take you to the song on youtube.
One last thing for today, Ozzy is off the island. Whaaaaaaaaaaaa! Think he would have taken the advice from James (you know the one who left holding two immunity idols) at least someone has learned from past mistakes.

Porcelain Prints Scraps Galore....
The benefit for Mike Feste on Sunday was a huge success, I was so happy that I was able to complete my projects to donate for him. Looked as if our whole town showed up in support, that is one good thing about small town life the closeness of community.
Here is a gift basket that was donated by Sara's Studio...
Close up view of the Composition Notebook, I used scraps and Mod Podge to cover this book. Usually I run the full sheets of paper through the Xyron 900 but did not want to do that with the scraps there would have been much waste so I opted for the Modge Podge.
Here is a nugget tin where I also made use of the Porcelain Prints scraps, the paper was adhered here with Scotch Brand double sided tape.

I so am going to get the Father Knows Best Set that premiered Monday, LOVE IT!
Some differences I made to the construction of my wallet were placing a slit in the fold before I used red line tape to "stitch" it closed. I also used the 1/ 8" paper punch at the ends of the slit to prevent splitting. (This is where I inserted my card stock for the photos.)
I also placed a two pocket credit card holder on the left side of the wallet and a one slot on the right side.
"Stitch", I did not sew my wallet my stitching is faux (redline tape was used).
My wallet is covered with iron on Vinyl and can actually be used as a wallet. My Husband loves it and is using it as you read, how fun is that!

Family time...
Below is our 2 year old PRINCESS! My Sister gave her this dress up dress for Easter now it is an everyday item for her wardrobe. She even was able to wear it out for breakfast on Tuesday, hey she scored a candy treat from a Grandpa who could not stop laughing at her.
My Sister also spoiled our middle girl with some new clothes, just because (is that not nice or what). She was so happy to get them and on Tuesday she wore her High School Musical outfit to school. See my unhappy camper in the background- she comes home everyday from school so tense it is hard for me to deal with- Teenagers?!
