30/30 challenge Coundown Day 1 CHILD SAFETY

One day to go with Jen's challenge you can find out more by visiting her blog {here}

Jen's Personal challenge ended today, WAY TO GO JEN - YOU MADE IT!

I was at the Dr. on Tuesday did not have time to complete a craft project for you. I did enjoy dinner out with my DH and our little DD. We were able to get some free concert tickets for Little Big Town at the fair my DH took the oldest and a friend they had a great time! After being in town in the AM and not being able to move very well I stayed home and made some crafty curtains...

I have a PSA for you today on child safety

Yesterday as we were leaving for the Dr, a neighbor lady stopped over because she feared for our DD's safety. She has seen a person peeking into our front windows 10 PM at night. I almost passed out, I still don't know if I want to believe that it happened. I love small town living but I fear it has caused me to be come ignorant as to what can happen in the world anywhere including our little town and that we are not immune to activities such as this.

You, my blog readers know that I do not share much info here about our family for safety reasons. Now I am forced to cut that back even more, I plan on going back and removing photos from previous posts about our children.

I have made some makeshift curtains for our front entry glass, my plan is to try gallery glass designs there so we can still get light, and see what is going on out our front door but keep others from seeing in.

With the addition of our pool this summer the kids have been running to and fro freely to their friends in the area in swimming attire, this now has come to an end. I have also reminded them to make sure the blinds are drawn in the bedrooms at night to prevent anyone from seeing in.

If you have further safety info you would like to share that I have missed please leave a comment in this post so I can follow up.

I recently read if your home to keep your car keys with you so that if there is an issue you can set the car alarm off that way a neighbor will know that there is an issue and will call for help.

In Oprahs words we always know when danger is near we just have to pay attention to the whispers we get and to act on them.
