Damask Designs Gift Purse

With this swap round came a Secret Sister Swap (there is still time to get in on the card portion of the swap you can find the info here)

Anyhow I figured that with two years of people sending swap cards my way it was going to be no big Secret who I was to my Sister. So I thought I should come right out of the gate letting her know who I was and spoiling her crazy my other option was go to IA for the afternoon and mail my package from there. Well with being sick last week I did not feel like going anywhere so I went with the first option. Here is a project that went in the mail this past week...

The bottle you see above started out plain glass I used my Cricut and some etching cream to put a flower on the front. As hard as I tried to get a good photo of it I had no luck. The pearl marks the center of the flower that was resisted with vinyl and was not etched.

After my TBBM cartridge arrived in the mail I was a bit disappointed. My whole reason for getting it was to make larger bags to package gifts in. (I am far from the perfect gift wrapper, totally this is a huge trouble spot for me I am so very embarrassed by my wrapping skills.) Well when I started cutting out the bags on the expression they were not big at all. In fact in the biggest bag the glass bottle would not fit, so...I opened up Cricut Design studio and made a two part cut file for the purse, I used redliner tape to adhere the two cuts and ended up with the size bag I needed to fit my project. Now I am satisfied, oh what a feeling!

LOL- It only took me forever to have a few minutes to blog hop. I am the amazingly lucky SS who actually cried when she got this package. These pictures don't do the slightest bit of justice- each and every piece is amazing!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
