A "Shabby" tip for you...
To distress the edges of your card stock you can open up your crafting scissors and use the blade to run over the edges of your paper. This is how the look was achieved on my card for today.
SCS challenge for Thursday was WT154, "Open a Window", you could make any type of window card for this challenge. My new Papertrey Inc supplies came yesterday and I could wait no longer had to use the new stuff for this challenge card. The colors are so beautiful they remind me of the "Shabby" look or Martha Stewarts TV studio set. Just a joy to work with as always, I have used the Stampers Select White Card Stock for months now and it is wonderful to have it in colors. I am not so sure about the SU pretties kit used here, this is my first time with it and I don't think I have used it right. Any comments or suggestions and tips for me on using this product?

Such a pretty card. I thought my PTI goodies were coming yesterday but they got rescheduled til today, so I will be at the door waiting. Love what you did with this card. I don't know anything about the pretties kit as I don't have it but the hat pin is pretty. I don't think it could be sent thru the mail, could it? Keep creating. Love what you do.
