I Can't STAND It!

Really I can't stand it this is so darn cute and a different way to show off your cupcakes. Let them stand out, raise them up, show them off.   Put upon a pedestal.   You see the cupcake wrappers and Pics all over the place these days.  However, I have only seen one version of a paper cupcake pedestal and that one does not serve its purpose well.  I Wanted to make it frilly and sturdy at the same time so this is the final version...

Here is how I did this version using My Cricut Expression, the Storybook Cartridge, Design Studio,  Pure Poppy Cardstock and dp from Doodlebug Designs Berry Blue...
The J in Plantin School Book works well also.  I think if you look through your cartridges you will find many images that will work.

Pick your image
Draw it out to the size you want this makes it easy to change heights on some
Next copy and paste the image check weld and flip
move the image over so it welds nice with the first piece
MAKE SURE YOU CLICK WELD ON BOTH IMAGES AND FLIP ONE OF THEM
Use a scissors to cut up the center half way to the top
Use a scissors to cut down the center half way to the bottom

**You will need to cut twice on heavy weight cardstock**
two layers of heavy weight cardstock like PTI is all I found to work WELL and will hold the weight of a cupcake with out toppling over.
You will need to cut once for Dp
Use a good adhesive to layer your two cardstock pieces
Place your DP cuts on both sides of your layered cardstock
Connect at the cuts
Glue on your top
For mine I used a Doily and a Marvy Scallop Circle
Place your cupcake

Bonus:
Plate idea from my Sister Julie
Cut circle in matching DP
Sandwich between two clear plastic plates
Use glue dots to adhere the plates.
Save them, take apart and use them again switching out the dp to match your table setting.

This is where I started this version does not work well for what I was looking for.  Possibly for MINI muffins or MINI cupcakes then I still would not do it for a child's party.

Happy Stamp Day.  God Bless.
