52 Weeks 52 sketches week 4 layout

My friends have gotten me inspired to scrapbook again, they posted a link to 52 weeks 52 sketches (the blinkie is now in my blogbar). You can check out their inspiring ideas here...
Chris' Corner
F stop Memories
A busy little crafty Bee

I had to scan my 12 by 12 page two times and line it up in my scrapbook program to get a full page look for you. It wrecks the first impression of the page I know, but IRL this is one cute layout. Our little J really loves herself as the mermaid.

Today I have completed my 30 days of no new supplies, how inspiring this Challenge is of Jen's I wonder if she realized that when she started it? I have cleaned up and organized my area once again, hopefully it will stay that way a bit longer this time around. I still want to use up some of the cool stuff I found on this journey so I can go a few more days yet with out new products. Heck I could probably make it two years and still have things to work with.

Put CHRIST back into CHRISTmas in 2008
Psalm 4:4-8
In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord. Many are asking, who can show us any good? Let the light of your face shine upon us, O Lord. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O lord, make me dwell in safety.

I had to take time out last night from my Anger, I was so mad at our Children's School I could not even think. The bus refused to start up in the cold of the AM so a Suburban was brought to town to take the kids into school. All of the children in town were piled into the suburban not seat belted in and sitting on laps. I have made many phone calls this PM and tomorrow is another day to voice my opinion of what happened to anyone at the school who needs to know this happened. I was told some decisions made in haste are not always the right decisions, YA THINK? Tonight as I go to sleep I have to remember to "search my heart and be silent" just so I can get some rest. However, when my children's safety is on the line it is going to be hard to keep silent...

Merry Christmas!

Put CHRIST back in CHRISTmas in 2008...
Matthew 6:19-21

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The Best CHRISTmas Gift ever...

The mailman had delivered some swap packages I was expecting and he also handed me another surprise box from Jen it was like Santa had knocked at my door. To my great joy she had sent a beautiful Nativity set for our family. How blessed I am to have such a wonderful friend, thank you!

A few years ago my Sister gave me these wooden trays she purchased at Michaels. The have been sitting around collecting dust, now I have figured out what to make with them. I was inspired by a project our DD had in school to make a Diorama of the Jungle eco system. My Diorama is of the Nativity and I used the wooden tray to make the present and it is wrapped in a golden bow.

Silent Night Nativity

When I saw Silent Night from PTI I knew it was a must have stamp set for my crafting collection. It worked so well with the Nativity Paper Dolls from Cricut. When we put out our CHRISTmas decorations this year I noticed we did not have a single Nativity so I made this ornament to correct the dilemma. When I make the next I plan on putting on some pizzaz highlights with chalk, for this first one I was just happy to get it completed.

Put CHRIST back in CHRISTmas...

Matthew 2:9-12

After they had heard the king, they went upon their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

Merry Christmas!
