Flat Circles..."Grind My Gears"

If you are a fan of Family Guy like myself you would have seen the episode totally devoted to Peter and what grinds his gears.

I have one really big design flaw that grinds my gears!  Here it is...flat top circle cards.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE jump on the bandwagon to stop the madness.  

Here is my lacy circle creation doesn't she look beautiful.  Won't find a flat top here.

We don't embrace other types of flats.
No possible way would some of you drink a flat beer....

 The flat world theory did not last long....

A flat tire lasts only as long as it takes to change it....

I just had to.  You are laughing I know it.  Flat circles don't look right do they?

So lets put an end to flat top circle cards.  Give me a rest this gear grinding is tough work.

Here is the simple solution
Punch
or
Die Cut
TWO complete circles
The back circle score 1/4" from the top
Apply adhesive to this 1/4" area
Place the front circle on top, line it up and adhere
Now you have the fold of your card hidden on the back.

Oh Yeah.  I almost forgot.  Kira, this flat can be fixed also!

Here is my creation based on the provided sketch...


While junking I found this bag of nice sanded wood scraps and thought OMGoodness so many possibilities. We arrived at the register to here the clerk say "why would you want to purchase a bag of wood"? Seriously? Let Me just say she would not have been around very long in one of my stores. Anywho, this is what I did with one today. I took the same DP used on the card and created a glass round necklace. the wood block has become the gift box (of sorts) for the necklace. Why would I want to purchase a bag of wood? LMAO!

My Cricut has been silent way too long, have to make some .cut files soon. For this project I had to go purchase the design I was looking for. I know, SAD isn't it!

You are my Sunshine

Jessica Amalie, loves the water as much as her Mother does. She would have been in it if we had not been going to supper.
We were at the lake more last year because the pool was not set up. We did not put the pool up did not want screw and nail holes etc. (News flash the new roof is leaking!) Must face reality...there is ALWAYS something...just keep swimming...praying...then swimming faster;)

Fall Button Harvest

I created this in the hospital and gave it to one of the best nurses Donna has had caring for her. (You can click the pic to enlarge)



List of supplies...
Floral Cone
Beading Wire
Beads
Buttons
Jewelry Pliers
A nice fall plate for the cone to sit on
Fall Pics I used two of them for my Creation
Candy Corn was just extra you can leave that off if you wish

Okay, so you start by stacking buttons and beads then twist the wire to the back this becomes your anchor for the foam. Keep making these pieces til your is full of layered buttons leaves. When you get to the top of the cone place the fall picks on the top and arrange them just a bit. I had found a fallish glass plate at mikes that I sat my creation on OHHHHH it was really pretty. I finished it off by placing it on a small foam plate and some yummy candy corn.
