Okay, yesterday I shared the breakfast and lunch menu for September.  Today I actually have the Dinner menu for you.  LOL!  Keeping it easy the kiddos and DH will be in charge for the month.
Countdown 1 day until my knee reconstruction.
Then I wake up this AM to the sound of a dying fridge, UGH.
Has to be a side by side I won't have anything else!
Place that on the top of the shopping list and
snip out a few quick picks for DH just so he understands what I want;)

Grilled Chicken Breasts
with veggies

Caribbean Jerk Shrimp with rice

Chili

Chef Salad

Spaghetti Shells Bake

What is For Dinner? Part 1

I have been lax at menu planning over the summer.
The fridge never closes and when you go to the cupboard to get what you need the items are NEVER left.
Anyhow for September a Menu was the best plan of attack
This way everyone knows and can execute it

Here are a few of the items on our Menu for September

Breakfast

Ham and Cheese Egg Bake
We use buttered white bread for the base
Cubed ham, peppers, mushrooms, onion and cheese
1 dozen eggs mixed with milk
place in fridge over night, bake next AM 350 for one hour

Breakfast Wraps
Scrambled Eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, salsa, tortillas

Oatmeal, Special K
Orange Juice, Skim Milk, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate

Well, the above will take care of breakfast and some Sunday Suppers.
Yes, we do like to eat breakfast foods for Dinner on Sunday Night;)

(I make ours a bit different below is what I use)
2 cans chicken broth
1 bag frozen California style veggies
1 can mild Rotel Soup
1 can crushed Tomatoes
**I do not use cheese in mine**

This is one of my favorites I eat it for lunch often so it is a pantry staple;)

I will ask her if it okay to repost, if you want the recipe email me
paschal.sara@gmail.com

Cottage Cheese, Pineapple, grapes, strawberries, Tomato Soup, Peanut Butter, whole grain breads,
fresh spinach, canned chicken breasts, pre cooked frozen chicken (DH cooks this on the grill for me)
light mayo, Dorothy Lynch Light dressing

I will be back with part 2 on Wednesday...
Happy Stampin'.  God Bless.

DIY Hair Goody Storage

The girls have been driving me crazy with the organization of their hair supplies
I had to help them out before I lost it
Remember A type personality on board;)
who just happens to <3 oatmeal
below is my DIY  Goody Storage
I found the idea while pinning away on pinterest

I just took the empty container and wrapped it in vinyl (even the bottom)
Cut a circle larger than the bottom clip it all the way around
fold in the flaps to cover
Wrap the vinyl around (worked easier with DH helping at this point)
Trim the bottom with Ribbon to hide where the vinyl meets
I placed another smaller ribbon 1/3 way down the container
only adhering it in the back with a few glue dots
this made the row were the bobby pins and clips could hang out;)

we have a small bathroom and I know it is going to meet some water so I opted for vinyl
if it is going in a bedroom Your favorite coordinated DP would work along with fabric
On the inside they will find all of the scrunchies
Now if I find one more on the floor I guarantee you will hear me screaming...

More ideas for the container
A place for hiding 2 extra rolls of toilet paper
place for storing shopping bags in your ride
anything else driving you CRAZY, if it will fit;)
Happy Stampin'.  God Bless.

Christian Paper Crafts "Back to school" Blog Hop

Oh YES, I was so inspired by Angela's project
I had to give it a go
Below you see the front of my memory game
Using "Faith is the substance" verse from PTI Everyday Blessings set
The finished project hangs on the fridge

After stamping the sentiment on "retired SU DP" I ran it through the xyron using the magnetic cartridge
The back of the magnet pops the colors for the game I loved that
Punched the shapes from the scraptacular basket and adhered them with quick dry glue from Scotch

So here is a pic of the tools I used
Yup, that is the old school Xyron
When a SB store went out of business I purchased cartridges for 75% off
 CRAFTY SCORE of the century

Xyron
Magnetic Cartridge
1 3/4" circle punch
Stamp and Memento ink
I used retired DP from SU and colors out of the scrap box
I went basic with this one and used 1 1/4" circle and square punches for the colors
Scotch quick dry glue

This was so simple and quick I see more in the future.
It would be awesome for you Sunday School teachers
make a new one each week with the memory verse that way they have a visible reminder to work and use the verse daily.  (Hence the magnetic cartridge)  By hanging it up in the kitchen it should garner lots of attention.

So hop on over to Christian paper crafts and join in on the "back to school" fun;)
Happy Stampin'.  God Bless!

OWH sketch 83 Butterflies

I have been playing along with the sketches on OWH for a few weeks now, they all scream play with me;)
Here is this weeks sketch.
You can find more information in the following link
One more thing, I really love how they place the cut size.  Most sketch challenges don't do this and you need to print the sketch and cut it up for a template.
So cheers OWH you rock the world of sketch challenges!!!!

Below is my creation
Paper used from my lovely BD stash my Sister Gave me
s.e.i  chocolat line
Stamp Set is PTI Limited Edition
To print the sentiment I placed the butterfly stamp on the block
took glue dots to hold the sentiment in shape then I removed the butterfly stamp before inking and stamping;)

Crayola Reminiscing and Melting

The first day of school is just a few days away.  Jessica spent Saturday listening to Mom reminisce about summer vacations, school and new  crayons.  Mom and Dad took us all over the US growing up.  They would pack a little travel kit that included...Fruit Stripe Gum, Bugles, coloring book and a new package of CRAYOLA crayons.  There is no worse feeling  for a creative 5 year old to come back to the car after visiting the "tourist trap" of choice that day to find a molten form of brand new crayons.  Sigh!

We figured out a few ways to make our own molten pieces of crayon art.
Some were new to us some I remember from childhood.  Here they are, enjoy!

Here are some color quotes to use on your creation...

You Brought COLOR into my life

I see your
True Colors
and that is why
I Love You

Friends are like Crayons
You can never have enough and you always want new colors

We can all learn a lesson from crayons.
Some are Sharp; some are Beautiful.
Some have weird names; some are different colors.
But, they all have learned to live in the same box.
Fulghum

Life is about using the whole box of crayons.

Artists are just children who have just refused to put down their crayons.
Al Hirschfield

Coloring outside the lines is fine art.
Kim Nance

I wish I were a white crayon, that way no one would use me.

Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up.

I made both of these creations for OWH sketch 82 earlier this week.
I finally have some time to share them with you.
Here is the sketch...

I have been having a "scraptacutlar" week trying to get my scrap basket organized again.
This entire card came from the scrap box;)

The card below used a free printable made by Karen Adair for Craftsuprint FB page.

The black really popped the color and I am over the moon with this beauty!

So Very Blessed by a Wonderfully Gracious God

ONE YEAR
365 Days

Here is the link to my post
Driving Accident
(Want to catch up on our one year journey check into the posts following the one listed above.)

Just a quick update on the subject.
Donna is finished with all Dr. Appointments.
Her body has healed and that  is truly a miracle from God.
I have posted this song Hold On for her and I
this is how we made it through this past year...

"I want to see you smile again, give some love to your CrAzY fRiEnDs.
Wipe your tears away those days are through."

"And the stars are up there shining for you.
Oh how the Father does adore you.
 His lOVE will never change!"

As for myself I continue to have overwhelming anxiety, PTSD, sleepless nights
and constant worry for the safety of our girls.
I can't seem to get the sceene and my reactions to move on out.
When my phone rings, I won't answer, fearful of what is on the other end.
. ( My family has gotten used to texting or PM's on FB.)
Slowly I am coming around to the fact that I am not in control of anything!
Nothing I could have done different on August 16 would have changed the circumstance.
Everything that happens to us is in someway a GIFT from God.
(May take some time to see what the GIFT is but it is there cloaked in the darkness.)

Today I wish to share with you one gracious GIFT God had hidden in the dark just for me.
I figured out I had to do something different to become unstuck.
I found myself with more than my usual level of creativity.
So with the new year and a clean slate I decided to to something big.
"Go Big or Go Home"
seeing as how we don't know how to do anything small it is fitting don't you think?

I would get so excited when I saw a crafty friend published in my favorite craft magazine
Paper Crafts
I would do a happy dance for them.
Our girls thought I was CrAzY and  they asked me why I did not submit to publications.
I had lots of excuses for not.  But, with the faith they had in me I gave it a go.
!!!!So I started submitting thus arriving here today!!!!

I have posted this song for you before you know it as one of my favorites.
I just can't get enough I am always inspired when I listen to it.
TobyMac Get Back Up

"It is never to late to get back up again.
Maybe knocked down but not out forever..."

I want to take time to thank all of my wonderful family, friends and faithful blog readers that have supported myself and the family through this past year.
You are all a wonderful God given gift!
I love and appreciate each and everyone of you!
Thank you!  God Bless!

Steampunk Lolita

I know, I am so far out of my box I had to tether a string to it so I could find my way back;)
Here is my Copic colored Steampunk Lolita complete with a flaming Scythe.
(I now am watching out for the pale horse to arrive!)
Revelation 6:1-8

Meet my Lolita...

She is a free download

She is Colored with Copics.
The skull and crossbones is Tim Holtz Grundge Board,  colored with Copic Marker and bling for eyes.
There is some lace and pearl ribbon from Hobby Lobby
Charms are from Michael's

I must have done something right on the cards I made the girls and their friends were going gaga over my shoulder.  Not sure if it was my creation, Copics or the airbrush that had reined them in.

The dilemma now is what kind of card is it?
What sentiment do I use.
Would this one work?
I am a floozy named Lolita coming to reap your soul!
HaHaHa,  I didn't think so either.
Feel free to leave me your suggestions in the comments, I would appreciate it.

I better find my tether now and retreat to the safety of my little creative box.

Don't forget to play along with the Steampunk Challenge in my previous post!

Happy Stamp Day, God Bless!
