Away In A Manger

I just had to purchase this digi kit over at Faith Sisters created by Simply Susan Godfrey. It was a Rock Bottom price at $1.oo and I used it for my holiday blog skin. This is my first ever Purchase of a digi kit up til this point I have just downloaded the freebies;) Totally in love with supporting the TRUE MEANING of CHRISTmas in such a wonderful way!

I really took a ton of time on this layout and did some extra bling to it, what do you think? A few more tweaks I need to teach myself and possibly then I will be happy with it. Good thing for my digital walls NO HOLES only a few glitches if you stop by while I am swapping things out.
Thanks for hanging in with me this past weekend.
I will be back on Tuesday with a Card Creation to show, Happy Stamp Day!

Give Thanks to the Lord and more...

The highlight of last week for me was to brighten the days of the Nursing Home Residents, this is the third year God has blessed my life with the ability to do this. Little J was upset and crying because of the H1N1 she could not enter with me and had to sit in the car with Dad, she wanted to say, "hi" to the Grandpa's and Grandma's inside. Usually we go on Halloween and hand out the cards as treats they love the added bonus of seeing the costumes and are a bit confused when the girls are not there looking for candy and instead they have a treat to give. And giving is such a treat and leads me down the path to some thank yous here is mine...

and here are yours...
Thank you for your support and comments of my crafty adventures I really enjoy getting my blog posts and creations ready to share with you. Thank you to all the other crafty bloggers and creators out there that share and let me CASE ideas.

Faith Sisters 12 Days of Christmas Week 1

What a wonderful Challenge you can find over at Faith Sisters they will be hosting a 12 days of Christmas Challenge with free digital download kits to go with each day. What a Glorious Gift this first kit is AMAZING and you can find it here...
Faith Sisters Pear Tree and I also have a blog link button in my sidebar, go check it out it is a wonderful site packed of YUMMY digi treats and challenges.
Challenge info found here
Here is what they have to go along with the Pear Tree Digital kit to show how it goes along with CHRISTmas (this is taken from there site).

This week's challenge is hosted my Susan Godfrey, from Simply Susan Designs and features the first verse:

On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.

I know, I had a hard time figuring out how a partridge and a pear tree could represent anything scriptural, so I was surprised to learn that you really can tie them to Scripture.

THE PARTRIDGE: The partridge in a pear tree is Christ Jesus upon the Cross. In the song, Christ is symbolically presented as a mother partridge because she would feign injury to decoy a predator away from her nestlings. She was even willing to die for them.

THE PEAR TREE: The tree is the symbol of the fall of the human race through the sin of Adam and Eve. It is also the symbol of its redemption by Jesus Christ on the tree of the Cross.

MY TRUE LOVE: True Love refers to God
