Proud Mama

I am one Proud Mama;) I taught myself how to make crocheted flowers for my cards along the way taught DD how to make a few stitches and walla this is her purse. She made it in just under three hours, flower by Mom. Keep in mind this is her first attempt at something like this and she is twelve. She would love to read your comments so please if you read this post leave her some love.



DD has also taught her friend how to make a few basic stitches, it is so cute to watch them pick out yarn LOL, so many choices it is hard to decide.

Walk in My Garden Shape Card

Crocheted Flower Garden

My Apologies for the photo, this was even on the camera phone and it did not turn out well. Just a few more weeks 'til my Bday hopefully the Bday Bandit will bring me a new camera that I enjoy using and will work for more then one month.


I Did It! Started learning to crochet on Saturday, have been working and dreaming it since. This am when I woke up and started in my first flower was PERFECTION (well to me it was I am sure you seasoned crochet buffs are LOL at the moment).

Crocheted Flowers on Cards

The pic does not show the full card since it was a scan and crooked at that I cropped it down. The PTI DP is actually on a base of PTI SS white card stock.


On Saturday I decided to start up another craft project, like I don't do enough all ready LOL! But, I saw some awesome crocheted flowers on Etsy and she wanted seven dollars for two small ones, one inch ones. Heck, I can do that and teach the girls to do it this summer also and we will have a great stockpile for card making. So this is one of my first ones done with a chain stitch (I have mastered that stitch now) time to move on to another one. If you have any suggestions, good web sites or just want to share your knowledge with me please leave a comment in this post.

When we were in Wal-Mart over the weekend all the Red Heart Yarn was $2.00, I thought this was an awesome price just wanted to share the good buy with you.
