 Here is this weeks sketch from OWH  #119

I have had MOJO issues the past few weeks and simply walked away from my studio for a time hoping something inspiring would come my way quickly.

I did sort and clean and donated lots of crafty goodies to J's Teacher.

I wanted to do this so I had room for new goodies, plus I wanted to try some Practical Solutions from  Paper Crafts special issue.

Easter Week

My favorite Holiday has come quickly this year, I wonder if it is because our winter was so timid it passed quickly?  Anyhow, this year I will be sharing with you this week what Jesus did during the days preceding the Crucifixion.

Sunday he entered Jerusalem Matthew 21 1-11

Jesus speaks to two disciples telling them

"Say to the Daughter of Zion, See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey"  Matthew 21:5

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Matthew 21:9

Monday Jesus was at the Temple Matthew 21 12-17

A different version however, it drives the point home.  My older girls need to see this.

so he made a whip out of cords and drove them out of the temple area

After the cleansing of the temple Jesus began the healing of the blind and the sick.

Jesus than left for Bethany where he spent the night.

You know this part of Easter is disturbing to me when Jesus shows a temper first in the temple than directed towards the fig tree he withered for life. 

 Like you are stripped somewhat of your childlikeness naivete of a loving God at this moment in the gospels.  

I am not God "Fearing" in the  manner as the artist depicts above.

Indeed this was a challenge for me this week.  I don't have anything that I liked and wanted to use.  

So I thought of what my Dad likes and that was peanuts than a memory clicked of  drawing peanut people with my Mom when I was a kid. 

 I just jazzed up that Nutty artwork and came up with the following...

I had to go back and secure my upper corner, that was driving me crazy.  It is all better now;)

Stationary Box

We went calling on some friends Saturday and I wanted a special hostess gift to take along. 

 Last week I was searching out ideas and came across this

Stationary Box and Tutorial from Dannie's Designs

Her directions are easy to follow and I love the video tutorial.

Here is one of the boxes that I made...

I did make my own pen holder by scoring PTI cardstock  

at 1 1/2" times 4 and adhering with redline tape.  The bottom is open however, the box flap holds the  pens in place as you open or close the box.

For the Graduate

Here is another graduation project I have worked on.  

 I was using maps and included some of my favorite poems and quotes that would fit the theme.

They are printed off on printer paper and rolled as a Diploma.

 (used PTI stamp set instruction sheet as my guide) 

The plan is to roll up bills inside each of the little packages.

Operation Write Home sketch challenge

My creation was totally inspired by Candy her little monkey card made me LOL;)

I remembered my Sister left her Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge here so I started cutting.

I added diamond glaze to the sentiment and the monkey.
