Forgotten Friday Challenge

Original post can be found HERE

These are really fun to make.  Our stash of cute little
gift soap is depleted and I feel a weekend crafty
project for the girls.  Yes, it is so easy even
they love making them.

When using melt and pour
soap with kids use caution it is
 EXTREMELY HOT.

So my challenge for this Forgotten Friday post is for you to
create a gifty soap using your stamps.  If you don't have
soap making supplies show me how you are using
your stamps in a creative way.
You will have 'til Thursday April 7th at
11:00PM to place your link with Mr. Linky
below.

Happy Stamp Day. May God bless our country and the world.

A Few Clowns Short...

Don't you  just love this saying?  LOL.  I can't stop laughing.
I downloaded the font from FontSpace it is called Coffee Tin

You can view the video above and see that this was altered
to make a post it's easel.  I was inspired by viewing
THIS creation by Joeknee on SCS

Below I am showing you one without a flap as Joeknee had made.
I placed a flap over the post it's because of the colors of the pads.
These are made as little gifts to go with the cards for my
Sister's tour table at Canton's after prom.
Was headed her way this AM but Little J
ended up getting sick.  Have to
reschedule Mom's play date;)

Okay, now this little pic was rediscovered over the weekend.  I don't think I
have stopped laughing since.  It is Donna driving and Liz is the passenger.
Take a good look at the garage wall.  OMGoodness, does it get
any better then that?  This beauty is going on a T for Donna;)

This is also why I REFUSE to take Little J to Disney.
All I did at the park was visit every single bathroom and listen to Liz screaming
because she was frightened of  EVERYTHING!  So with little J being
frightened of mascots I have no plans of a
Disney vacation anytime soon.

Sporting a New Blogger Template

The name for this Template is Picture Line.  On the Homepage you now see cropped photos of posts.Link to the post of your choice by clicking on the title above the picture.  I am going to be featuring one video a week that will remain on top of the page. Below this you will start with a link to the current post and descending from there.

I decided to take this route because I have had many people request info on a post that can take time or sometimes I can't find it!  I know!  Now you have lots of options to see instantly in conjunction with the search bar it should take less time to find what you are looking for.

The linkwithin operates as before, click on a thumbnail to see the full post.

I enjoy this template.  What do you think?

Photo Play Gift Set

I loved this pic and I have had much fun playing around with using it in different ways.  Today I have a gift set to show you making use of the Glass Tiles and PTI Tins I just can't get enough of.

Photo from HERE

Listen to some Traditional music as you scroll and surf;)

Okay, here is a class photo...

Here is the card I made it using SCS tutorial on Easel Cards found HERE.  It has been a very long time since I did one of these.  However, you most likely are going to be seeing more of them around;)
The bridge was cut from Cricut Pagode Cartirdge at 2" one on regular one on shadow. I did not write the branch cuts down they were left over from my weekend MESS!

I found this quote that I just loved it reads...
"In the Cherry Blossom's shade
there's no such thing
as a stranger."
Kobayashi Issa

Here is a shot of the tin and tile necklace.  I sure hope you make one of these beauties soon they are such fun.  My girls love them so do their friends.  What great gifts they make!  I printed out the photo, punched it with a Marvy circle punch then micro beaded the top.  I wrapped strips of extra photo around the upper lid and punched another circle this time from cardstock to place in the bottom of the tin.

Product list...
Cricut Expression
Cricut Pagode cartridge

Springtime Cherry Blossoms Abound

So want to get to DC and view this splendor.  I have been there before not in spring and not in this part of town.  If it is anything as fragrant as Honeysuckle and Magnolia in the south it has to be wonderful.
Today I am taking you on a little web tour of some of
my favorite places and Cherry Blossom Goodies.
Enjoy;)

Cherry Blossom Girl by Air
Took two days and one huge mess to get this single creation made.  I was having trouble with the design.  I so wanted to use the Cricut Pagoda cartridge but my ideas were not working out in paper.  My Sister no doubt is laughing away at this point;)  We passed around a SU sellabration set for years that neither of us wanted.  I did not give up I kept working at it every time I passed by I tweaked something and this is the final product...

I cut the branch in PTI kraft and blossoms out in pink pirouette and rose red.  Next I pulled the layers apart and crumpled them up.  Stacked and crumpled more then placed a gem in the center.
I used this download to create the card above printed out on Pirouette Pink, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi.

Work?

When Donna was in the Hospital we spent long nights just chatting.
 She asked me what life
was like before kids..
She wanted to know about my jobs and what I liked to do.
She wanted to hear of my friends and my adventures.

I decided to scrap a bit of my history surrounding her questions.
You can click on
each page to see the larger version.
No fancy layouts or supplies.  Once again I am going for
easy so I can say I have gotten something accomplished.
Otherwise my page counting friends might kick me out of
the group.  JK;) they wouldn't do that.

My goodness if you love your job so much can you still
call it work?

My first REAL job as you see below was for Target.  I worked my way
through HS and College here.  I left them for bigger adventures after graduation.

Target two page layout...

The Bigger adventure I left Target for was an Assistant Manager at Braun's Fashions.  Since I was not 21 yet I could not be a store manager.  When I hit that BD milestone I was given my own store in Fort Dodge IA.
Braun's 2 page layout...

Talk about a fun job.  I worked in a Historical Building
at a Historic Time for Praxis "SAP" consulting Group.
Then I decided to get back to what I really loved
Merchandising and Display
and I took a Visual Specialist job with Kohl's.

I placed an extra pic of the historical marker...

Here is the two page Praxis and Kohl's layout...

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I loved this so much I just had to play along.  When I first started in paper crafts this was my first choice of color family BOLD and BRIGHT.  You know how things go and have to switch up every now and again.  I go more for the neutral tones these days.

I woke up with an idea then I realized I sold this stamp set "Sweet Treats" from Stampin' Up! UGH!   If I could kick myself I would.  Note to self...this is why you hang on to everything you are going to need it!
So I perused through the Cricut cartridges and this cone was the closest match to my light bulb moment.

Card one...

Card two.  Yes that is hand beaded sprinkles.  I LOVE THIS ONE;)

Version 3...
