AMAZING...Before The Morning

I find it totally amazing how the injuries for the girls can be so different. You know Donna's Story she has a long road to walk when her sister came out of the accident with a cuncussion and seatbelt bruises (she was kept overnight in the hospital)>

I have just gotten my hands on this pic I have not seen this view of the car in a pic before. I don't remember it looking this way on the road, think I was looking with blinders on like a huge fog was covering elements and time. I know I was in denial that anything was badly wrong it is so different how you see things that way. My hope for any Parent is that you never have to see your child in this situation through clear eyes or eyes you have packed with denial. I just had a calm feeling when we arrived at the accident I could hear both girls that was all I needed at the time. Then we got busy picking up the carnage on the road so when the ambulance was ready they could get out. The rest of the way to the Trauma Center I was in prayer for the girls and our family and that wrapped me in more calm.

The hardest part in all of this for me is when I was seeing our Daughter give up on everything and asking the tough questions like Why Me?, Am I going to die? I don't know if I had the correct reply but I told her that only 1 person out of 4 in the same rollover ejection crash in a rural area LIVES and she is that ONE person. I went on to tell her that God had his chance to take her but instead he has another path for her life on earth and she will need to find the way the reason see the big picture. The next day I came back to her room with some Cricut Vinyl, Hope Sings indeed when you are the 1 birdie left!

Found a new fave song for the moment it was on the radio on the way to a Dr. apt this week not like listening with new ears for I know I have heard this song over the summer many many times and this one time it really sings to my heart.

Do you wonder why you have to,
feel the things that hurt you,
if there's a God who loves you,
where is He now?

Maybe, there are things you can't see
and all those things are happening
to bring a better ending
some day, some how, you'll see, you'll see

Chorus:
Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
that you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
can't compare to the joy that's coming

so hold on, you got to wait for the light
press on, just fight the good fight
because the pain you've been feeling,
it's just the dark before the morning

My friend, you know how this all ends
and you know where you're going,
you just don't know how you get there
so just say a prayer.
and hold on, cause there's good who love God,
life is not a snapshot, it might take a little time,
but you'll see the bigger picture

Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
that you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
can't compare to the joy that's coming

so hold on, you got to wait for the light
press on, just fight the good fight
because the pain you've been feeling,
it's just the dark before the morning
yeah, yeah,
before the morning,
yeah, yeah

Once you feel the way of glory,
all your pain will fade to memory
once you feel the way of glory,
all your pain will fade to memory
memory, memory, yeah

Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
that you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
can't compare to the joy that's coming

Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
that you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
can't compare to the joy that's coming

com'n, you got to wait for the light
press on, just fight the good fight
because the pain you've been feeling,
it's just the hurt before the healing
the pain you've been feeling,
just the dark before the morning
before the morning, yeah, yeah
before the morning

Happy Birthday Bird

Here is another card I had made up sometime ago, photographed and have since put on the back burner. Totally one of my faves of late I love the color combo, crocheted ribbon and image. This past summer my long time Stampin' Up Demo had her yearly garage sale and I was able to pick up a couple older sets I had my eye on. The best part is your total in the garage sale went toward a new catalog purchase so in the end you had the old stamps and supplies along with the new for one price. How cool is that?

Product list...
everything Stampin' Up except for CosmoCricket DP, and PTI buttons and twine.

Happy Stamp Day, God Bless!

Can You Hear Me Now?

This is just one hill Donna had to climb after her Car Accident, her left ear was almost severed right off through the center. To be funny I asked her if she wanted the Dr. to poke a few more holes while she was at it, NO was her answer. LOL, I am not signing any more piercing paperwork she had her chance.

Bye Bye Toyota!

At first thought Donna wanted to see the car one last time then she changed her mind so today I signed over the title to the tow company so they could scrap it. Bye Bye have to say I won't miss it!

Jesse went to check out to see if he could find why Donna's seat belt failed best guess was that she possibly had tucked some fabric in and did not get a click because the seat belt was intact and two guys pulling on it could not release it. So FYI when buckling up make sure you have all fabric clear from the buckle and make sure you hear the click. I always pull back now after clicking in myself or little J just to make sure it will hold.

Below are some pics Jesse took when he went to check things out...

Donna was released from the hospital on Monday has been busy with dr apts to keep up on her blood thinners and a visiting nurse comes to the house daily to help out with vitals and dressing change.

Hopefully soon I can get back to creating again I sure could use the break and calm it brings.

God Bless!

Driving Accident

Wow, I don't know where to begin so I am going to Praise God for his miracles and thank him for letting us keep our girls here with us longer.
Donna and Liz were in a car accident Monday Morning what we can guess as of right now the car rolled two times, Donna was tossed out of the drivers side window into a soggy ditch fence line about 15 to 20 feet from where the car had landed. Liz's seat belt held and kept her in the car when the car came to a rest she was able to get out of the drivers side window.
Donna has suffered great injuries that are going to follow her for a long time her back has fractures all over from her shoulder blades through the lumbar spine. She has a lacerated spleen, a fractured hip socket and a hematoma by a lung. She was fitted for a turtle shell yesterday and will be placed into it today.
Elizabeth suffered some bruises from the seat belt a knock on the head was just held for observation and released on Tuesday.
Donna will remain at Sanford for a few more days she won't be able to leave til she can eat, use the bathroom, and put weight on stand all on her own.
You can find updates and some pics on my facebook page Donna would love some good thoughts and prayers sent her way, you can hop on her page from mine. I won't be back here for some time so if you want to contact me here is my email
