A Bella Rose First...
This card kit came from Cindy Major her blog can be found here. Cindy is a Stampin' Up Demo from Canada, I was so happy to get her card kit, it is very expensive to ship swaps to and from Canada. Thank you Cindy!
Kit Contents...
SU Bella Rose Paper
Chipboard
SU Felt Flowers
SU Diamond Brads
SU scallop border strip in green
SU Ribbon
SU Eastern Blooms Stamped Images
SU Flight of the Butterfly
I am not positive on the new colors yet either but IRL they are beautiful! And this Bella Rose DP is wonderful, going to the top of my SU want list for the new catty!
I did paint the chipboard with Folk Art Baby pink #633 I must say it is a perfect match! The Brads I used on this card were from Pink Hedgehog paper crafts.

Bitty Baby Blessings
Just got back my first ever card kit swap and I am so loving them. I was in the PTI group and the SU groups, I even received the extra prize for the PTI group (that means someone picked my card kit as the top dog of PTI kits) how fun is that. I have to admit I am enjoying all the PTI card kits so far and today I am going to show you Bitty Baby Blessings this kit was from Graphixgirllilu on SCS.
Kit Contents...
PTI Bitty Baby Blessings images
American Crafts DP
Palette Ink (I believe it to be Noir)
Baubles
Ribbon
Circle Nestabilities
Punched Round Tab SU
Prima Flowers
I provided...
(Duck Card has extra PTI Lemon Tart Ribbon and dots from my white paint pen)
All cards are on PTI Stampers Select White Card Stock Bases
Images were colored with SU chalk and aqua painter
Not bad for someone who does not own this set because I do not enjoy coloring stamped images :) Although if my Art Teacher ever found my blog and saw the coloring on the bunny she would have a coronary and swear a two year old did it, did she??? You may never know, LOL!!

TO CLEAN UP MY MESS!!
I was so proud of myself during the 30 day challenge at how well I had cleaned up and organized my space. What Happened?? Am I the only one that crafts this way??
Birthday Invites for the Girls...Inspired by M.W.
Our DD's have birthdays starting at the end of October going through the end of November. I think this year we will do what we have in the past and celebrate with the family at one time before Grandpa and Grandma leave for the winter. I love this Wise Owl set it was fun to work with, it takes a very long time to piece all the owls for the invites but they turned out very nice.

Little "Red" Lady
I have waited a very long time for PTI to come out with RED, last release my dreams came true. (Now, to wish a little harder for the black. Insider info says it is in the works, can't wait.)
This was the original set that I had to have and that was all the introduction I needed to PaperTrey Ink, I have been hooked ever since. This card is actually somewhat of a case of a Nichole Heady Card for Borders and Corners Squares. I love the fact of the 1/2" fold on the side where the ribbon is, it is adhered here as well to the white card base (it makes a really cute card fold).

PTI August Blog Hop...CD Case Photo Cube Planter
PTI August Blog Hop Details from Papertreyink.com...
"Just about any paper crafter you meet will let you know how much they love to alter regular household items they already have in their home. This month's Blog Hop Challenge is to alter a CD case into something other than it's original purpose. You can use some of the new CD Calender Cases we have just begun to carry or a standard version that you recycle from your old music stash. You can take it apart, add additional pieces to it, cut it, punch it, stamp it, heat it & bend it. You can have it hold something, display, contain, carry or collect anything! The sky's the limit! We look forward to seeing all of your ideas!"
Video Tutorial for photo cube on youtube
What I learned from making the cube...
1) Take your time, it is easy to break a Case if you rush
2) Other Uses for CD Cases
a) Candy Bowl for holiday
b) Tool Caddy
c) Calendars
d) Photo Frames
e) Lamp Bases

g) Scrapbooks

Keeping Track of CASE's
I have many many swap cards and previously made cards that I look back in reference to. I thought I would show you how I file them so they are easy to find.
You need two products...
Binder
Protective Binder sheets
Mine is a smaller version that holds four cards per sleeve you can purchase a regular 8 by 10 size and it would hold 8 cards per sleeve.
I take the cards out of the binder and place them in a plastic envie and tack them up onto my cork board when I am ready to copy them.

CC180 Flower Filled
This is one of my all time fave floral sets it is called Flower Filled from Stampin' Up! The vase is the only stamped image on the card the flowers are punched out with SU's Daisy Punch. (Both of these items are now retired and in my RETRO stamp collection.)
I made three cards however, each one has a little something different done to it can you spot the differences? I have made up all of my Christmas Card keepers they are totally ready to roll for the holiday season. Along with that I have all the Halloween treat cards packaged up for the Tieszen Memorial Home. (We take the kids there on Halloween to pass out cards to the residents. They love it and enjoy the company and seeing the costumes and the kids having a great time.) I made up 70 odd packages this year with two cards and envies each I started to ad in my head and this is a rather huge undertaking and well worth all the effort and expense. I challenge you to donate some of your creations to a local Nursing Home or shelter help to spread they joy of paper crafting.

Chocolate Birthday Wishes
I keep laughing to myself as I work with these butterflies here is why...
My Sister was making pillow treat boxes for my Nephews Rehearsal Dinner using SU' Butterfly set from a few years back. We decided to made some of them 3D so that involved cutting and adhesive. Our fingers were basically stuck together with glue after completing around 100 treats. We had my Niece helping and if I remember right my other Sister (a non crafter) came to assist us. Needless to say if we ask either for help on a craft project these days they just laugh and run the other way with lightning speed. The treats turned out great in the end and now we have a conversation piece every time the subject comes up. LOL!!
As you have noticed by now I revamped my blog with PTI's Chocolate REmix DP. Love it, can't put it down it is totally YUMMY! This card today is one of the cards I made up for the header.

Chocolate Butterfly Kisses
I am back, FINALLY!
Thank you all for your well wishes and phone calls. I have been spending time with the kids before school starts next week and nursing my sore back and hips. I have not caught a break since the fateful walk to the hairdresser and living these past few days with this amount of pain has made me very tired and just a little crabby. (Well I confess my DH says really CRABBY, I told him he could switch places with me if he wanted to but he declined.)
So for my card, this is a new order of PTI products that came a couple of days ago. (You can tell it must be bad if I did not ransack the box as soon as UPS dropped it at the door.)
Product list...
PTI Butterfly Kisses stamp set
PTI Chocolate REMIX DP

I kept the card really simple and it was hard to resist the ribbon temptation alas this card is ribbon free and I actually like it.

A new Love after 13 years....
Ha Ha I got ya!
I am talking about paper craft adhesive not my darling hubby :) This October we will have been married for 14 years. I used Scotch Brand double sided tape and as you know during Jen's 30/30 challenge I ran out of adhesive. After the challenge was completed I treated myself to a ATG (Artist Tape Gun). The double sided, photo safe tape comes on rolls. My first thought was it was going to be hard to use, it is not. However, DH had to load the first roll of tape for me, I was close just missed a step or two. Don't forget I am blonde after all there has to be a joke in there somewhere. LOL!!
I purchased mine at Keepersbylorri it is an EBAY store and she is most kind and gracious and has ridiculously fast shipping. I will for sure go back to her for my tape purchases. With the buy it now feature she ships you a free roll of tape. My free roll was left out of the order so when I questioned it she mailed it out right away along with another free roll. THANK YOU LORRI!
I am now stocked up on adhesive again and ready to ROLL!

Too Cute To Spook Tutorial
Here is my take on Lisa's Halloween Project of Spooky Slime
With our kids I decided to make Body Glitter to put in the tin. After all our kids are too cute to spook so they will shine instead. This was a total hit with the kids as we were making it on Friday. Our little one kept calling it goopy, I should have labeled it Spooky Goopy, LOL!! This is non toxic, in fact the Aloe makes your skin very soft and who doesn't need to get their shine on now and again. It does not have to be just for kids either, Mom's can use it, it is much less expensive then Department store Holiday Glamour products. My original plan is to give this recipe a trial run the body glitter is on my list for Christmas Gifts along with some other personal care items I will be sharing with you in the future.
Product list...

Coloring outside the lines...
My friend Wanda came up with this awesome color pack for the kids, it is easy to make with her directions and the kids love it. You can find the link {here} She has taken many wonderful photos, and listed all of the measurements this project comes together quite quickly. (This was good because our little one was standing like a vulture waiting to color with it.)
I stamped a few sheets of card stock and left some blank because I feel that it is a great expression for the kids to color outside of the lines at times and express inner creativity.

Many Thanks
I want to take time this AM and Express my Thanks to Jen for her 30/30 challenge. I learned so much about my craft life during this 30 day period, it was a true eye opener for me. I now have an organized and clean craft space. I was able to sell a few older items so I have a nest egg for basic craft supplies such as adhesive and envelopes. The two main things I ALWAYS run out of!
Jen is going to continue down the path of her 30/30 challenge, if you wish to play along you can find the link {here}
I will be back later today with a crafty post for you...

30/30 challenge Coundown Day 1 CHILD SAFETY
One day to go with Jen's challenge you can find out more by visiting her blog {here}
Jen's Personal challenge ended today, WAY TO GO JEN - YOU MADE IT!
I was at the Dr. on Tuesday did not have time to complete a craft project for you. I did enjoy dinner out with my DH and our little DD. We were able to get some free concert tickets for Little Big Town at the fair my DH took the oldest and a friend they had a great time! After being in town in the AM and not being able to move very well I stayed home and made some crafty curtains...
I have a PSA for you today on child safety
Yesterday as we were leaving for the Dr, a neighbor lady stopped over because she feared for our DD's safety. She has seen a person peeking into our front windows 10 PM at night. I almost passed out, I still don't know if I want to believe that it happened. I love small town living but I fear it has caused me to be come ignorant as to what can happen in the world anywhere including our little town and that we are not immune to activities such as this.
You, my blog readers know that I do not share much info here about our family for safety reasons. Now I am forced to cut that back even more, I plan on going back and removing photos from previous posts about our children.
I have made some makeshift curtains for our front entry glass, my plan is to try gallery glass designs there so we can still get light, and see what is going on out our front door but keep others from seeing in.
With the addition of our pool this summer the kids have been running to and fro freely to their friends in the area in swimming attire, this now has come to an end. I have also reminded them to make sure the blinds are drawn in the bedrooms at night to prevent anyone from seeing in.
If you have further safety info you would like to share that I have missed please leave a comment in this post so I can follow up.

30/30 Challenge Countdown Day 2
Could not craft on Monday I am still nursing my back from last Thursday, I have a Dr. appt this AM so hopefully I can get some of the pain resolved.
Just a reminder that WIPEOUT is on ABC tonight, want a preview have to go to youtube and check it out {Here}
This is the funniest tv show I have seen in a very long time, I can't stop laughing while it is playing.
I have another cool link to a PTI Halloween project using Spooky Sweets you can see it {here} I did not use the pumpkin face with this set last year so I can't wait to give this a try. What a great gift to hand out this year to family and friends even to teachers (they always welcome craft supplies).
One Challenge day to go, I can't believe it the past month has gone by very quickly and I have learned so much. It is great to step back once in a while and see things from a new angle, try it and see where it takes you.
Happy Stamp Day!

30/30 Challenge Countdown Day 3 Christmas in July
Card Clutch Pattern by Rochelle found {here}
Jen's 30/30 Challenge found {here}
So a girl out of her favorite adhesive (Scotch Brand double sided tape) running low on other adhesives starts to think of Christmas in JULY! That is right, now that my space is organized I sat down on Sunday afternoon and wrote out a Christmas list (a hand made) Christmas list. So when I was done I counted up how many card keepers I would need to make and the answer was 12. So I came up with a pattern that I liked using my older stamps made up a sample then cut, punched, colored and pieced my way 'til I had five more sets ready for adhesive. So that quick I have some Christmas gifts ready to go.
The entire time I was thinking to myself Self, why do you think I need the latest and greatest supplies? I never thought of it before I started my blog, back then everything I had I used and loved. Now it is a Rush to get the latest and greatest and let me tell you one stamp company knows how to sell me the latest and greatest and knows how to make me want it. (I went to business school, I know the drill on how to focus and sell to a group of people, I understand the tricks and psychology involved yet I let it happen to me.) Not anymore! Jen's challenge has brought back the love for the stuff I own, what is old is new again RETRO is the word. So in the future if you come to my blog to see me craft with the latest and greatest, it probably won't be found, what you will find are hand crafted items made with the products I love, the products I have on hand and are RETRO.
My other thoughts were why do I have to wait for the new SU Catalog or the New PTI release to start my Christmas crafting, I have what I need to do the job on hand. Don't get me wrong I am sure I will be purchasing the new PTI colors because I have fallen in love with the Palette Inks possibly even a new release stamp set. But my new focus is going to be on the basic tools: ADHESIVE, ENVELOPES and did I say ADHESIVE! LOL!!
Product list...
SU RETRO stamp set "Tags and More"
SU RETRO stamp set "Riveting"
SU RETRO Wasabi ink, ribbon and Card Stock
SU RETRO Purely Pomegranate ink and Card Stock

30/30 challenge Countdown Day 4 Wipeout!
To find out more about Jen's 30/30 challenge go {here}
First just by chance I tuned into Wipeout on ABC last night. I have not laughed so hard in a very long time, my DH was beginning to wonder what was wrong with me. The hosts are so stinking funny I could not stop laughing, I could not really I could not. LOL!!! I did find a link on Youtube to make your day, but if you can it is a must watch TV show if you are in need of a good laugh. Tuesday on ABC, I will be there or at least our DVR will be, have to record this so I can watch it over and over just to catch the commentators comments.
Wipeout on youtube
Okay, now to explain my photo for the day. During the 30 day challenge I have been cleaning up, sorting out and stowing away craft supplies. I want to show you that this old computer hutch has turned into my craft cabinet. Can you believe my DH wanted to get rid of it! It now plays host to my Fiscars Cutter, my Sister's Cricut, sorted paper scraps, my phone, the Bind it all, empty tape dispenser, my CASE board and more! I love it because the doors shut and lock, this keeps the little one out of my projects and away from some potentially dangerous products. She loves to hear the Cricut chirp, she will come running in from the next room and beg me to hit the button again. It is so cute! But, it is also why this is a great place to keep it out of her reach. The main thing I wanted to point out was the fact that the pull out work tables in the cabinet are clean! This was my project for Saturday, to clean up this cabinet and re-organize my scraps. Yep, I now have two scrap totes, one now holds SU 48 base colors (organized by families) and the other holds the basic colors, IC's and retired colors.
It also now play host to my CASE files, cards from Swaps and fellow stampers that I want to recreate. They are now in a visible place so I can get on the CASE.
Well I now have three days to go in the challenge and things are really getting wipedout around here (I am speaking of the clutter)lol!!
Happy Stamp Day!

Find out more about Jen's 30/30 Challenge {here}
The countdown is working, it sure feels like the time is moving faster. However, my body is moving slower and it is hard to finish the clean up and organization of my space but wait, I see it the light at the end of the tunnel.
For my project today I found my shoebox of tiles that I wanted to clean out so I could store a different project in it.
Tutorial for coated tile...

2) Use Mod Podge to adhere the DP, when you have all the wrinkles smoothed out place on a top layer of Mod Podge. (Less is more when working with this product.)

5) Adhere stamped images to front of tile with Glue Dots
6) Stamp on top of Dry Mod Podge with staz-on or Hybrid Ink by Palette
7) Adhere small clothespin to back of tile with E600 Adhesive (or Glue Gun)

Our DD got her first perm on Thursday, I love how it turned out. Unfortunately in the process of the 1 1/2 block walk to the hair dresser I have managed to stress my back and am paying for it heavily last night and this AM, sorry for the short post. She offered me a ride home but my pride got in the way and I refused and walked anyway, note to self next time take the offer!
