This is so not a new concept it has been around for decades.
However, I have yet to see it used in conjunction with today's paper crafty treats.
This is a pretty tedious process you have to complete each step with precision to get a tight even roll.
Close up view of the rolled flowers. The large one was made with the variation below. I changed it up for
the bud bloom and left off the 1/8" fold on the end and just went right into wrapping. This leaves a nice
place for more embellishments such as beads, buttons and bling.
Now I am going to show how to make these beauties;)
Step one is to pick out the paper you wish to use. You can use DP, cardstock, newspaper, magazine glossy even ribbon would work for this process. Once you have that done begin cutting 1/2" wide strips.
The length of strips used will determine the final diameter of the roll. The length for these strips was 6".
Step two is to score your 1/2" strips at 1/4". This step has to be done with precision.
Step 3 you will need to fold on the score line and use the bone folder to make a strong crease.
You will have a bit of playroom when matching up your edges just take your fingers and roll the
paper with your fingers til you get matching sides.
Step 4 you need to start the roll process by scoring one end at 1/8".
Fold on the score line again use bone folder to get a crisp crease.
I used a paintbrush handle to roll my flowers.
You can use any small tool that is similar.
Step 5 is to get rolling. Start with wrapping your strip at the folded end. (This will become your
flowers center.) Make a few wraps then Apply Modge Podge to the strip and continue to roll.
Step 6 when you get to the end of one strip and are ready for the next line up the ends with no gap.
Modge Podge to keep in place and start rolling same as the first strip.
Step 7 When you are finished placing all layers take and tap down the rolled
flower on a smooth surface. (This will help to even out edges.)
Step 8 ( is optional) Apply Modge Podge to top of rolled flower and let dry.
These are fun to make hope you can enjoy some rolled flowers soon.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers during this weeks difficulties. DH is out of the
hospital and working on getting better. It took two days to get his pancreas settled
down and for him to be able to eat and drink. It is his wild and crazy high triglyceride and
insulin levels that caused the pancreas to malfunction.
Anyhow, we have to watch even closer as to what is being devoured around the
Paschal Home.
Happy Stamp Day. May God bless our country and the world.
