When I returned home from my trip to NE I had a letter from Lincoln NE, I thought that was funny. When I opened it I was totally impressed inside was my welcome RAK from craftybee, I am so very happy! Such a wonderful card I love the images and the embossing, I need to get this folder yet, I love it! Thank you Craftybee.

I have been working on Jessica's scrapbook these are the first three pages. I have been keeping the pages very simple and using the same stamp(SU retired) for her under 1yr photos so it does not take me long. The colors used on the first page were turquoise, positively pink and green galore. For the ultrasound pages I used orchid, pink passion, positively pink. I printed the font on the computer for the title Inside out. I need to find a better way to take my photos, they look so much better IRL. I am doing errands on Friday and am going to print more photos so next week look for some more simple layouts.

This has been my project to finish the past couple of days. My Stepmother has a birthday on May 15th so I thought this would be a great gift and she could take it with easily when the snowbirds fly south. This is my second attempt at a card organizer and this one I took to the print shop to have bound, it cost $1.35, not bad but I need a binder so much opportunity wasted. I used the SCS forum for the main instructions of the project and to print out the calendars for each month. I used SU dec papers (need to buy more of this one it is one of my Faves) on the cover. For the cover I also used my Sizzix to cut out the word cards in Cranberry Crisp. Next this was mounted on Mellow Moss where I used the ticket corner punch then mounted again on Cranberry. Before I mounted the card stock I glued on off white ribbon to help keep the keeper closed when it is full. The inside flowers were stamped using Flashy Fl orals in Cranberry crisp, Mellow Moss and Chocolate Chip. Her card, lower right was made for WT112 on SCS Coasting along. I have no coasters so I recycled cereal boxes to make the 4 by 4 square in the center. I then used my scallop square punch to punch out the center and mounted a flashy floral rose behind. I ran this through the CB embossing folder, My inspiration was my choice for card of the week by DawnL, seen on the right hand side of page.
I am having trouble loading SCS to post a link but in a previous post on the card keeper you can find the link there. I will upload the link when I can get on the site. (OK, all links should be working now.)

- Cut card stock to 6" square, I used white, Not Quite Navy and Mellow Moss
- Next I took it to the local print store and had it bound, only cost $1.00 (I still have the Rubicoil on my Birthday list)
- I took my CD of scanned photos to Wal-Mart and had some printed out 4 By 6
- Next I ran scraps of the three chosen colors through my Xyron
- Then I punched squares and paper piecing and made one D with the Sizzix
- Now I put in my photographs
- Next I went back and added my punched pieces
- On some pages I used my white gel pen for some stitching and limited journaling ( the DVD has all the names and places so I decided not to repeat that much here to save time)
- On the front and back covers I mounted CD folders sponged in Not Quite Navy with Red line tape
This project in total took me under two hours to finish, funny how the scrapbooks got smaller the more I made. Now everything will start all over as soon as I get my scanner to work with XP or we get a new one, I have about 200 more to go...
And to moral to this story is, Death is not an end to all life it is just the beginning of a new one so have patience and enjoy the memories. (Dad will be remarried now in June for 11 years.)
